Brookfield Residential Properties has appointed builder, Tomkins Commercial and Industrial Builders, to construct its latest mixed-use development, Rivello in Hamilton on the Brisbane River. Work is set to start months ahead of schedule after more than $118 million in sales were secured within weeks of its launch to market.
Construction is anticipated to commence on the 21-storey building, located in the Portside residential and lifestyle precinct in Hamilton, in late October, with completion anticipated for late 2023.
Rivello is the ninth building to be developed at Portside by Brookfield Residential Properties, which has already delivered more than 850 luxury riverside apartments in the sought-after precinct.
More than 80 per cent of the 150 one, two and three bedroom apartments, sub-penthouses and penthouses in Rivello have sold off-the-plan since the project was officially released in early August.
Brookfield Residential Properties’ Managing Director, Lee Butterworth, said the building program had been brought forward on the back of Rivello’s strong sales debut.
“We reached the 80 per cent sales mark within weeks of launch, which has prompted us to accelerate the start of construction,” he said.
“It is a significant achievement to reach this sales milestone so quickly and is a credit to the lifestyle-centred design and desirable Brisbane River position, together with the exceptional demand in the market.
We are looking forward to working with the highly-respected Tomkins team to bring Rivello to life.”
“As a family-owned and operated construction company that has been in the industry for nearly 70 years, Tomkins has an enviable track-record and shares our vision of delivering a new landmark building in Hamilton.”
Tomkins General Manager Julian French said the team was excited to commence on site soon.
“We’re delighted to be working with Brookfield Residential Properties to deliver this prestigious development,” he said.
“Tomkins has delivered more than 300 projects across the residential, commercial, industrial and education sectors, and we’re proud to be able to add Rivello to this extensive portfolio of work.
“Rivello matches sophisticated architecture with a prominent blue-chip location and we look forward to delivering a building that buyers will be proud to call home.”
Located directly on the Brisbane River at Hamilton, just six kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, Rivello will offer a suite of resort-style amenities for residents, including a spectacular roof-top infinity-edge pool with expansive views across the Brisbane River to the CBD.
Residents will also enjoy a private dining room with kitchen and bar, a residents’ lounge, wine cellar, business centre, outdoor gardens and barbeque areas.
Rivello’s apartments average a spacious 120sqm and have been well received by owner-occupiers from the surrounding area, with the majority of purchasers to date living within a 10 kilometre radius of Portside and many upgrading within the community.
Mr Butterworth said there had also been interest from buyers from around Australia, including New South Wales and Victoria, either looking to move to Queensland in the future or to invest in the thriving Brisbane market.
“The absolute riverfront location, array of restaurants, cafes, shops and the cinema, and the connectivity to the Brisbane CBD and Brisbane Airport is impossible to match and appeals to a broad range of purchasers,” he said.
“Rivello is designed with lifestyle at the forefront, featuring a high-level of amenity within the building that complements all that is on offer in the precinct.
“The generous apartments are designed to maximise views and natural light through an open plan design, floor to ceiling glass and expansive balconies, so residents can relax and enjoy the picturesque location.”
Remaining apartments start from $605,000, with the final two sub-penthouses – each featuring an expansive floorplan and panoramic views – from $2.093 million.
The Rivello Sales and Display Suite, showcasing a full-size kitchen and bathroom display, is located at 15 Wharf St, Hamilton, and is now open by appointment.
